Position Summary / Role Responsibility The Project Technician will be part of Rockwell Automation\'s Lifecycle Services Business, focused on providing automation and process solutions for their assigned industry. Duties of the technician may include Generation of electrical schematics, Bills-of-Material, understanding project requirements, coordinating with panel manufacturing team, project delivery/execution. The technician must be able to understand industrial applications and should be able to design solutions based on the application. The technician will also participate in innovation, cost reduction, quality improvement, process documentation, and other initiatives under the direction and supervision of engineering team leader. This position requires creativity, experience, and the ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts. Working in concert with the Project Manager, technician will establish objectives, work plans, and execution development tasks for a particular solution and work on project assignments. Technician will ensure coordination with various product or solutions groups to ensure compatibility and optimal integration with established products. Technician may require travel & engaging in onsite project commissioning activities. This role reports to the Engineering Team Lead and the base location would be Noida. Typical activities may include: Generate electrical schematics, panel layout drawings, Bills-of-Material preparation etc. Participate in technical execution of projects including all stages of design and technical review with multiple projects simultaneously. Responsible for meeting project schedule, engineering hour budgets, and customer satisfaction targets for own activities in support of the project team. Responsible for programming & commissioning Automation Systems (PLC/VFD/Motion/Software) at customer site. Coordinate customer requirements with engineering and other appropriate departments to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved. Analyze customer\'s requirements to determine the optimal control system solution and determines applicable industrial control configuration/architecture. Provides updates to project manager/leader pertaining to status of activities, performance to schedule and performance to budget. Visit internal/external panel manufacturing facilities to assess progress, provide technical assistance, final inspection and sign off. Participate in standardization, cost savings, and manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
