• Provide input to the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
• Interact with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Participate in risk assessments, identify potential issues, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Pipeline Design and Engineering:
• Conduct feasibility studies and conceptual designs for subsea pipeline systems, considering factors such as seabed conditions, geotechnical data, flow assurance, and pipeline routing.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis to determine pipeline specifications, wall thickness, stress analysis, and fatigue life.
• Collaborate with structural engineers and offshore installation teams to ensure seamless integration of subsea pipelines with other offshore infrastructure.
• Select and specify appropriate materials, coatings, and corrosion protection systems for subsea pipelines.
Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance:
• Implement quality control procedures and inspection plans to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
• Review engineering documents, drawings, and technical specifications related to subsea pipeline systems.
• Provide input to audits and inspections to verify the integrity and safety of subsea pipeline installations.
• Stay updated with relevant industry regulations and best practices related to subsea pipelines and ensure compliance in all aspects of project execution.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams during construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Interact with operations and maintenance teams to optimize the performance and integrity of subsea pipeline systems.
• Participate in lessons learned exercises and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership and Mentoring:
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
• Coordinate with external contractors, consultants, and vendors as necessary.Bottom of Form
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (typically 3 to 8 years) in pipeline engineering, with a focus on offshore oil and gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of subsea pipeline design codes, industry standards (e.g., API, ISO), and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in pipeline design software and tools (e.g., Abaqus, AutoPIPE, OrcaFlex, Caesar II).
• Sound understanding of subsea construction and installation techniques, including trenching, pipelay, and riser systems.
• Familiarity with subsea inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
