Okulo Aerospace is an early-stage stealth startup based out of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Combining renewable energy and precision engineering, we are currently developing solar-electric hybrid aerial platforms that will revolutionize aerial data acquisition. ### Requirements


Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis using standard FEA packages. Optimise designs based on the results from FEA analysis.
• Conduct hand calculations of basic aircraft structures (wings, spars, etc.).
• Work with the manufacturing team to realise designed structural elements.
• Devise testing methodologies to validate and verify the results obtained.



Basic Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Masters/PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or) bachelor's in aerospace/mechanical with experience of a minimum of 3 years.
• Proved experience in FEA model preparation (GFEM/DFEM) and stress analysis.
• Composite FEA knowledge and experience.
• Fatigue analysis and/or aeroelastic analysis (optional)
• Knowledge of structural design as per aviation certification standards (optional).
• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams, to ambitious deadlines, and under minimal supervision.
• A highly motivated and focused individual with excellent communication skills.
• Possess excellent technical writing skills and create documentation for design reviews and company records.


Desired Skills:



Should have strong fundamentals in:

• Aircraft structures: Hand calculations of aircraft structural components such as spars and ribs. Best practices for optimising aircraft structures.
• Finite Element Analysis: Background in the theory of FEA and its applications in FEA solvers. Static Structural analysis experience/projects. Stress analysis report formulation: Experience in creating technical reports of FEA analyses. Certification report preparation is preferable.
• Fatigue analysis/Aeroelastic analysis: Basic knowledge in FEA analysis of aeroelastic systems and/or FEA based fatigue analysis (HCF/LCF/LCO).
• Experimental validation of structural components with FEA analysis.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Python.
• Knowledge in the design of aerostructures using composites.
