General Summary:

(DevOps Senior Engineer)

Qualcomm Software Content Compliance team is currently looking for experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team at Hyderabad. As a DevOps engineer, you will be part of software content compliance engineering team which develops software applications and tools to support open-source content compliance process within Qualcomm.

Responsibilities

• To support applications and systems that Qualcomm depends on for our software licensing compliance and IP protection. You will work closely with development teams and users to troubleshoot application issues and improve system performance and reliability.
• Design and develop tools to automate redundant process.
• Design and build scalable, reliable, high-performance systems and environments.
• Develop, support, and continually improve automated cloud platform CI & CD process.
• Manage our cloud and container infrastructure as well as our platform services.
• Develop/Contribute to operation support tooling to ease operation/application support efforts. Automate redundant tasks.
• You will work closely with development teams in an agile environment to embrace and promote the DevOps philosophy.
• You many also need to work cross functionally with IT to direct the provision of hardware or infrastructure needed to support our tools.
• Monitor health of application and environment and act to return the system to health upon alert.
• Effectively contribute to building the overall knowledge and expertise of the technical team.

Required Skills

• Expertise in automation using Python, Shell, PL/SQL skills. Experience in Django framework is a plus.
• Expertise in Kubernetes cluster management, Flux, Helm etc.
• Expertise in container platforms like Docker.
• Experience with AWS data services such as RDS, Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge on web application and micro-service architectures.
• Strong analytic, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented and able to document your troubleshooting and resolutions accurately and thoroughly.
• Experience in Git, Github, Github actions is a plus.

Qualification

• BE or B-Tech in Computer Science (or in related streams) or higher with 2-5 years relevant experience.

Excellent working knowledge on software development life cycle

Minimum Qualifications: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
