The new SEAM organization integrates Safety, Environment & Asset Management activities, with a broad geographical footprint, that will support Shells business & assets around the world.

The vision of SEAM is to provide capability across the spectrum of Safety, Environment and Asset Management with:

  • shaping the future ways of working through introducing to the business new technology and news way of working, including e.g. digital, SBO, and real-time, data-driven, end-to-end optimization and risk management, but also global programmes like Human Performance Based Safety Philosophy.
  • providing performance feedback driving disciplined execution to deliver reliable, predictable results
  • helping the businesses build their improvement plans and provide support to execute them
  • sustaining performance through strong core capabilities (internal, including SBO & contingent) through building expertise and a company-wide consistent approach
The purpose of the role is to support the Businesses (UP/DS/IGNE/PT/GF) to deliver Shells Goal Zero (No Harm & No Leaks) ambition, by providing accurate and quality assured safety performance data It is also about driving a cultural change around reporting by empowering the business to understand what lies behind the data, and by supporting their own team to become trusted business partners who can hold up the mirror and challenge.

The incumbent will be expected to play a key role in driving change to optimize the reporting systems and processes and providing the performance data and insights required to support the Goal Zero journey.

The Sr.Process Data Engineer will be part of the VP TAO organization

The VP TAO will be accountable for maximizing integrated business value across the organization. Technical Asset Operations (TAO) is a key enabler for the accelerated delivery of Shells Asset Management System and will help us to reach our ultimate potential in Downstream Manufacturing, Integrated Gas and Upstream. TAO provides high quality and cost-competitive technical resources who are not physically present at site yet are an integral part of asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS work processes

Portfolio Project Scheduler roles and Responsibilities,
  • Create and maintain logical network of activities for new projects based on IPA tools.
  • Participate in Projects Initiation meetings
  • Data entry, transfer or import of detail job plans and estimates into scheduling tool.
  • Updates schedule as required - typically bi-weekly - based on face to face input from Project Developers and Project Engineers.
  • Validate job plan details, including activity description, duration, WBS structure, craft and hours.
  • Determines activity relationships and create logistical ties.
  • Develops critical path and analyzes for logic discrepancies
  • Produces Schedule packages for approval at different Decision Gates (DG2, DG3 and DG4)
  • Produce initial manpower needs (Histograms) for the field execution phase
  • Maintain and report Long Lead Items Report to Project Engineers
  • Report progress and KPIs at various detail levels including: Portfolio reports, Milestone reports, Planning status report, etc.
  • Maintain master schedule for Projects Portfolio
  • Responsible for project closure within the Scheduling tool.
  • Utilize Engineering progress report (3rd Party) and update the projects accordingly
  • Initiates formulation of plans to mitigate effects of progress, performance or delivery issues to completion dates
  • Participates in review and buy-in of the integrated schedule with key stakeholders
  • Maintains projects coding.
  • Manage change.
  • Support manpower forecast for the site.
  • Support planning organization by providing histograms for workface planning/engineering/craft
  • Support Cost organization by providing remaining hours and cost information from Primavera.
  • Participate and comply with all safety programs.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement and implementation of standardized work processes for effective scheduling.
  • Stay current with mandatory training

Skills& Requirements

Education/Experience:
  • Engineering Degree and/or Certification as a Planning/Scheduling Engineer/Professional or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years refinery or petrochemical plant project scheduling experience
  • 4+ Years industry experience in Planning-Scheduling positions, managing multiple project schedules at different phases.
  • Basic knowledge of a broad range of Project Controls systems, tools, and practices specifically in Oil & Gas industry.
  • Proficient using Primavera P6. Certified P6 basic training module and Certified P6 advanced training module preferred.
  • Experience using deterministic and/or probabilistic risk tools.
  • Experience in earned value management and the ability to audit / validate construction progress.
  • A comprehensive understanding of construction techniques and practices.
  • Experience working in an operating facility.
  • Experience working with construction contractors.
  • Strong communication, report-writing, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Team player and self-motivated.
  • Fully versed with MS Office suite of software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)
