Role Description

An Associate Engineer is responsible for developing and delivering elements of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Awareness is expected of the important engineering principles of the Bank. Root cause analysis skills are developed through addressing enhancements and fixes to products. They attempt to build reliability and resiliency into solutions through early testing, peer reviews and automating the delivery lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities

• Production of code based assets within the context of agile delivery (helping define and meet epics, stories, acceptance criteria)
• Responsible for the design, development and QA of those assets and outputs
• Ensure compliance to coding guidelines and standards
• Perform review of component integration testing, unit testing and code review
• Write high performance, highly resilient micro-service java based middle tier development (use of Spring-Cloud framework)
• Agile (scrum) based delivery practices, test driven development, test automation, continuous delivery

Your skills and experience

• Senior Java Backend Developer
• 5 to 8+ years of experience
• Java 1.8+, Strong Java core skills, Problem solving, Error handling & debugging skils
• Java Frameworks: Spring Framework, Spring Boot & Spring Cloud Framework
• Database: Oracle/MS-SQL Server, SQL Query Language
• Understanding of RESTful API, and Event Driven System working principle & design
• CI/CD e.g Jenkins
• Build Tools: Maven, Gradle
• Version control: GIT
• Deployment: Cloud Native Microservices (Good to have)
• Any Cloud and Container deployment experience (Good to have)
• Business Domain: Financial Services, Asset management (Good to have)
• Team player & Punctuality
