Engineer Position Overview Job Title- Engineer Location- Pune Role Description An Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals efficiently and reliably. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of their solution components, investigating re-use, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose, reliable, maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and environment with clear, robust and well tested deployments. Engineers actively look for opportunities to improve the availability and performance of components by applying the learning from monitoring and observation, automating towards zero touch, and championing a \'DevOps\' mind-set. The applicant will act as the Developer for the Steer Program. This person is going to help develop the application for the Global Steer instance. Exposure to working on development in Groovy/ Grails technology, Micro-services/ Client server, Angular, Spring, applications and clustered environment development. Sound knowledge of java coding, worked on API\'s, UI development. WebSSO, Central ID authentication, Application Servers, Web Servers, SQL, Oracle Pl/SQL. This person will be part of the team of developers/ technical designers who will work closed with the business stakeholders to understand the business requirement, develop the application in an agile framework and ensure production move on time and within the project milestones. This person should be able to understand the technical specification and convert the requirement to technical code. Comply with all the SDLC stands that we follow at DB for the development life cycle. Ensure that we meet all the necessary IT standards while the project is rolled out. Look at the current coding standards that are followed in the current German instance and plan updating, enhancing the code to meet the global roll out needs. On one hand he/she should work very closely with the current global Steer project teams and specially the development teams to understand the current development methodology that is followed. He or she also should be able to use the existing framework and work on the requirements for the global instance rollout in terms of new/enhancement changes. Follow the development life cycle strictly and ensure that the code that is developed is meeting the technical specifications and it is tested and put into production. As part of the development life cycle, necessary DB standards are strictly followed. Since we are following the agile methodology this person should be proactive to work on various requirements and plan development readiness accordingly. Your skills and experience Should have at-least 6+ years in the IT industry with about 4 years of development experience. Strong Technical understanding in Java, spring framework, Web Services, Oracle, Angular (similar JavaScript frameworks), Versioning System (e.g. GIT, SVN). Good to have Micro services Architecture, Groovy on Grails Worked in medium / large scale projects with global presence across geographic locations in terms of development. Understanding of change management process Excellent communication and influencing skills across various levels of stakeholders. Open minded and willing to learn business and technology Ability to work in fast paced environment with multiple requirements Ability to manage the expectations of stakeholders and also set expectation with clear milestones and target dates to achieve.
