What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

ASR Value Pack Factory:

This requirement is for an R&D Project Manager in the CTG R&D lab in HPE Bangalore; CTG is a key product R&D group within HPE with a focus on communications products (Telecommunications software products include 3G/4G/5G core-stack to OSS/BSS solutions). CTG Assurance R&D team is working on developing software for the Observability and AI/Analytics domain, offering the complete automated solution for various Telecom use cases.

Responsibilities:

Build and lead a highly motivated team

Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and developing new products and solutions, enhancements, and updates.

Lead SAFe Agile transformation as a Scrum Master for multiple ongoing product releases, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and the PI objectives are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.

Ownership of end-to-end testing of product releases, and drive towards tight schedule and quality goals.

Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.

Managing the product evolution including a strong focus on risk and dependency management

Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.

Guide, coach, and mentor junior and senior engineering team members to assure apt business and individual development goals. Motivate engineering talent in your team/org to adapt to changing business/technology needs.

Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.

Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.

Strong ability to negotiate and build consensus in the engineering community on business/technical decisions.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

12+ years of IT industry experience, with a BE/ME in Computer Science/Electronics or equivalent.

3 years of engineering management experience - people, product, process

Knowledge and Skills:

The role requires a broad knowledge of Telecom domain, Assurance, AI/ML, Cloud, and Containerization.

Experience in managing complex product/platform development that includes requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and integration.

Strong experience in leading SAFe Agile transformation as a Scrum Master

Experience in guiding and coaching the team to adapt the lean-agile methodology

Ability to influence cross-functional teams that includes senior technical members, product architects, product owners/managers, RTE, etc.

Experience in managing OEM partners, Influence partner road-maps, and monitoring the progress and quality of deliverables.

Experience in driving innovation and integration of new technologies/tools into projects

Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate options with stakeholders such as program managers, product owners, Release Train Engineers, technical leaders, and executives

Ability to identify opportunities to improve overall efficiency through process improvement, people development, and automation

Ability to inculcate and manage high-performance culture

Proven ability to improve employee engagement on a continuous basis

Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution

Well versed with Agile development practices and should be able to drive high standards towards the quality of products being delivered

Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
