Role Summary


To undertake Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) design & engineering activities within the group, in respect of both design and consultancy services. To provide technical support and assistance.





Responsibilities


In the position of Engineer - OLE, you will be required to carry out rail overhead wiring design from concept through to construction stages. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Preparing rail overhead wiring layout and cross section designs, using computer aided design and drafting tools
• Ensure that the technical OLE matters are compliant with the technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards
• Ensure that all design drawings and documentations are effectively managed
• Practise good communication and cooperation with all internal and external parties to ensure that all requirements are met and effectively managed
• Identify and manage risks associated with the design and delivery of electrification engineering (design and consultancy) projects
• Ensure compliance with company safety and ethics policies
• Follow company quality and project management processes and procedures where necessary



Requirements

• Minimum of a B.tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in OLE design on international projects
• Experience with CAD software(2D and/or 3D), preferably MicroStation, AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Proven ability to communicate in English (verbal and written) effectively with all levels of management and staff
• Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to
• Demonstrated understanding of rail electrification project life cycles
• Preferred experience with delivery of OLE engineering projects in a railway environment
• Understanding of ANZ based engineering requirements
