Duties:
As a Mechanical Engineer Level I, He will be working in the fast-paced engineering environment working on creating the 3D models, Assemblies. Engineer should have hands on experience in application of GD&T as per ASME Y 14.5, Tolerance Stack up Analysis & Methods. Follow the client standards and deliver the quality files. Knowledge of EPDM check in/outs, Data Cards and ERP exposure is required.

Responsibilities:

• Designing Steel and Al commercial walk in truck bodies
• Designing, modifying, or updating all the exiting truck components and assemblies as per requirements.
• Create detailed engineering, Production drawings using SolidWorks.
• Hands on working Check-In and Check Out of models in PDM live environment working experience.
• Creating GA (General Arrangement) Drawings using SolidWorks and provided BOM.
• ECO\xe2\x80\x99s (work on parts/sub-assemblies/assemblies that have engineering change from old ones or create new ones)
• Master Models (Create 3D assembly model\'s with existing BOM)
• Design Master Models (Create 3D assembly master model with new parts and assemblies that have changed from old BOM)
• Part list creation (List of all parts that got updated in sub-assemblies / assemblies).
• Assigning new parts number for the truck components and assemblies using JDE

Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mechanical Engineering 5 to 8 years of experience or similar preferred; may consider Associates Degree with 5 to 9 years of experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Bus Body Design or Specialty Vehicle Body Design or Truck Body Design.
• Solidworks/ PDM proficiency and certification is preferred.
• Excellent working knowledge of sheet metal design and weld fabrication processes, along with knowledge of assembly and welding procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possess the ability to recognize the application of multiple equipment components and their combined integration to achieve specific requirements
• English Proficiency: Excellent written and oral Communication is required.
