Job Description


  • The Quality Engineer is expected to adhere to all safety rules and procedures
  • The Quality Engineer is expected to report any unsafe condition or absence of any protective device immediately to their supervisor/Manager/Cell leader
  • Capture, review customer specific requirements with cross functional team members and ensure compliance to the requirements.
  • Prepare control plans at various stages of product development, review and update as per procedure for Standard Management.
  • PPAP submissions for New Product Development/ECNs/4M changes and as per AIAG PPAP 4th edition guidelines, obtaining customer approval.
  • Address customer concerns/complaints during the development stage and before project hand over to operations by following 8D/QRQC problem solving methodology.
  • Improve the quality assurance system continuously, including review and updation of project quality documents, work instructions/procedures (Measurement and inspection) and training of staff/operators
  • Conducts statistical analysis, prepares reports and records before project transfer to operations.
  • Verify and ensure that samples of products taken during or after completion of process steps meets the customer specifications/requirements through sampling.
  • Provide training for operators related to product application/specific quality requirements and process control documents like control plan, inspection checklists, work instruction, acceptance criteria (Visual standards), SPC, lessons learnt from previous similar projects including customer complaints etc.
  • Facilitate in continuous improvement projects (QRQC problem solving workshops, Head count reduction from Safe launch /Quality wall inspection, internal/external scrap cost reduction)
  • Support Customer Satisfaction engineer and CFT to identify the corrective actions for customer complaints.
  • Timely closure of non-conformances raised by customers during the run at rate/PPAP audits, by working with CFT for identification of corrective actions and their effective implementation.
  • Conducting MSA studies for measuring equipments, gauges, visions systems, electrical testers etc and document the results.
  • Calibration of machine validation samples and master samples
