The Opportunity: As a member of our Advanced Application Support team, you will be responsible to monitor and maintain the efficiency of our Global ECom Applications. In this role, your duties will include reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Services, performing successful code migrations, provide IT support to our customers to help ensure maximum availability of E-commerce websites.Avantor is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking, and experienced Engineer IT OPS & App support, who will be responsible for delivering results against some of the most complex business and technology initiatives.This role will be a full-time position based out of ABC - Coimbatore or Pune Office.If you are passionate about solving complex challenges and driving innovation - lets talk!Our organization is an Equal Opportunity Employer.   • Provide secondary level (L2) support for production and developmental/test instances, striving to optimize the availability and scalability of all system components.
  • Strong technical proficiency in SAP Hybris Commerce platform, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
  • Continuously assess site performance via monitoring and configuration tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Planning and executing diverse maintenance tasks such as server upgrades, patching, and validating application functionality during scheduled maintenance windows.
  • Provide advanced technical support (L2) to troubleshoot complex issues encompassing storage, performance, disk, application functionality, and integration with third-party APIs.
  • Identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities in the Cloudflare infrastructure, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and maintaining the integrity of the network.
  • Perform compliance checks on web servers and perform upgrades as requested by the business. Perform database management and monitoring.
  • Overseeing code migration across various environments to maintain synchronized functionality. Enhancement and bug record validation via Jira admin process.
  • Ensure SOX audit compliancy for critical e-comm systems, plan mitigations/solutions to reduce/avoid SOX deficiencies.
  • Engaging in change management procedures, including the creation of planned changes for the ecommerce system, obtaining necessary approvals, and minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Ecommerce platform vendors and third-party service providers to promptly escalate and resolve issues.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of Ecommerce systems, processes, and procedures to streamline knowledge transfer and accurately capture troubleshooting activities.
  • Timely response, follow-up and resolution of incidents escalated from Level 1 support, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) and ensuring quality of service is always maintained.
  • Assist/participate in projects related to the implementation of new features, system upgrades, or migrations to ensure successful delivery within specified timelines and budget constraints. Fulfill additional e-commerce-related duties as delegated.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience within an enterprise level corporate IT environment is required.
  • At least three years of working experience in Linux Admin/Middleware Admin/Engineer experience / IT Applications and Technology Business Solutions.
  • Strong knowledge on Postman, Jenkin, New relic tool, SQL, SAP Commerce Cloud portal and Azure.
  • Be a convergent thinker to analyze a high volume of technical data (the Log Files, Thread Dumps, JVM Dumps, Exception Stack Traces etc.) and information into action.
  • Strong Knowledge on Kibana, Kubernetes, AWS cloud, Docker is a must
  • KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)
  • Acquainted with Linux, SQL, Windows, Middleware.
  • Experience with SAP Hybris Data Hub, Kubernetes, Kibana, Backoffice, storefront, API concept is a mandate.
  • RHCA certificate is preferred.
  • Knowledge on Dynatrace is a mandate.
  • Knowledge in CI/CD methodologies, includes Jenkins, AWS code pipeline etc. is desirable.
  • Knowledge on Jenkin, JBoss, Tomcat, Nginx, Apache, Java service AWS cloud, Docker, and Azure is preferred.
  • Trainings taken under AWS Fundamentals.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYISICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)
  • Hybrid-work is preferred by many coworkers in this organization, ranging from 5 days in the office and rest of the days from home.
  • Full-time work from the office is also an option.
  • Remote work is an option, with the ability to remain as such if agreed upon during the hiring process (monthly or quarterly office visits are highly encouraged).
  • Typical work hours fall between the business hours of central European and North American east coast time-zones, flexing as required by current projects.
  • Reasonable flexibility in working hours is mutual, flexibility may be agreed to for support of personal needs and can also be necessary to support work activities and deadlines.
  • Availability during weekends and on-call support will be necessary on a rotational shift basis.
  • Personal computer will be supplied, adequate network connectivity while working remotely is required and is the responsibility of the individual.
  • Diverse abilities may be accommodated in this role more easily than a similar role at other companies for reasons that include the remote-work potential and/or working hours flexibility.
  • Offices have adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
  • Some offices have been modernized and include amenities such as optional standing desks, please inquire during the interview process.
  • A frequent volume of work and deadlines does impose some strain.
  • Work assignments vary and are not highly documented into standard operating procedures, prior experience and precedent are often used to fulfil requests.
  • New alternatives to improve productivity and reduce effort are welcome and encouraged.
  • Minimal physical effort is required, work is mostly sedentary.
  • Travel outside of the local office is not required.
