: As an Industrial engineer, your primary role involves identifying the wastes and defining standards for manufacturing operations. Utilizing lean methodologies, optimize the manufacturing processes, layouts and resource utilization. Collaborating with key teams like manufacturing/production, process engineering, and maintenance to improve the overall efficiency of the manufacturing plant.
• Responsibilities: Designing cost effective and ergonomic manufacturing layout for both new and existing lines.Execute time and motion study for the process/work centers across all the plants and defining job standards for the work centers like parts/hr, EBQ, resource etc.Capacity/Facility planning for the organization in line with business (AOP) plan requirements.Defining manpower requirement for the process/work center and declare to the HR.Define the OEE targets for the plants.Responsible for modeling productivity and efficiency improvement and execute implementation through communication, training to managers, supervisors, operators in manufacturing.Key stakeholder in improvement of safety in the workplace.
• Requirements: BE in mechanical/production/manufacturing/industrial engineering (Or equivalent degree) with minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/industrial engineeringStrong knowledge in lean concepts Hands on experience in time study & motion studyStrong knowledge in resource planningStrong knowledge in layout designStrong knowledge in industrial & ergonomic standardsExpert in layout design using AutoCADCritical thinking skillsProblem solving skillsStrong in communication and team workStrong in presentation skills
