Position summary
  • Collaborate closely with small, cross-functional teams of developers, engineers, and stakeholders to build new data sets to power financial applications.
  • Design and implement overall development strategy.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, including estimation, development, and deployment.
  • Stay up to date on the latest development practices and strategies.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement tools and procedures that provide strategic improvements to our products and process.
  • Take direction, go beyond what is asked, and constantly challenge yourself.
  • Love what you do, as this position will require a strong sense of ownership. Confidence in your work is a must.
Duties & accountabilities
  • 6-10 years of development for relational database applications.
  • Strong experience with MSSQL databases.
  • Experience with MSSQL objects like tables, stored procedure, views etc.
  • Well versed in writing performant effective code and ability to understand execution plans.
  • Good understanding of performance tuning and code optimization of existing code.
  • Ability to write unit tests will be added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of code versioning tools, such as GIT.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working in an Agile Development environment.
  • Team player with strong analytical, problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly productive, and perpetually aware of the next thing to work on
