Job Requirements:
• Produce high quality code to develop new features and resolve bugs
• Write significant and extensive tests to demonstrate that our code meets our users' requirements
• Ensure that the application is flexible, performant, and able to scale to meet our global users demands
• Ability to work optimally independently and as part of an agile team to help the team achieve its goals
• Critically review code as part of our pull request process
• Deploy applications to test and production environments using CICD tools (i.e. Github Hooks, Jenkins)
• Chip in creatively to the solution of new work and be comfortable challenging the decisions and architecture of the application
• Conduct deep dives to understand trends, generate, and present actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and visualisations to communicate key findings and insights to collaborators to enable data-driven decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years of software development experience in a professional environment working with Java technologies.
• Good familiarity and skills in frontend technologies.
• Understanding of Scripting Languages (Bash / Python etc.)
• Hands-on experience with application design, software development and automated testing
• Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, relational or NoSQL databases.
• Ability to optimally interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and eloquent solutions.
• Ability to learn and investigate new technology and business domains, question status quo and think outside of the box.
• Ability to debug basic software components and identify code defects for remediation.
• Experience working in Agile or other rapid application development methods.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Engineering Degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or equivalent stream.
• 2+ years of software development experience in a professional environment working with Java technologies - Vert.x, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful micro services, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and RESTful API's.
• Strong experience with Frontend Technologies like AngularJS, NodeJs
• Experience of System Design, System Architecture
• Familiarity with Tools like Splunk, ELF/Kibana, Dynatrace
• Hands-on in Unix, Linux, Windows command line
• Be flexible with regards to Technology stack and be ready to learn and support older frameworks like .Net, Jcl, Cobol
