A dedicated team handling complex and large projects across the globe (AP, EMEA and Americas) by offering centralized and comprehensive Bid to Detail Engineering support.
Domain: Mechanical Seal Support Systems for Pump Seals Systems for Oil & Gas, Gas Compression, Power Generation, and other process industries application.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: This position will report to Team Leader - Wet Seal System. The primary focus of this position is end to end engineering support for wet seal system Application Engineering, Process simulation and Engineering standardization & automation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities -
• Hand on knowledge on solid edge. Able to work through part, assembly, drawing modules to generate 2D and 3D with min supervision and errors.
• Efficient in reading and making P&ID & hook up diagram.
• Construe and evaluate project specifications (Specification Review)/meet the customer requirements.
• Capable of making detailed technical and commercial proposal along with comments and deviation list.
• Liaising with the customer and stakeholders to see the project requirements are met.
• Experience with CAD Automation programming languages using API will be an added advantage.
• To use Engineering tools and perform basic Engineering calculations as required.
• Able to cope up with the OTD and Quality metrics as devised.
• Self-organizing individual able to manage project time and schedule effectively.
• Handle and Manage Technical Review meeting with Customer/EPC /OEM.
• Able to generate technical datasheet and freeze BOM.
• Conduct Project Hand off meeting: Order hand off to Order Engineering team /Order Execution Team/PDO.
The Individual
Skills & Experience -
• BE with minimum 4 years of experience in similar role.
• Should have good focus on standardizing processes, tools and techniques and Formats.
• Hands-on skills with P&ID, 3D Assembly / 3D Part modelling / 2D Draft environments, preferably in Solid edge.
• Strong application and detailed engineering knowledge of mechanical seal support systems (API -Piping Plans) or similar fluid control systems products (like Lube oil Consoles or Oil Lubricating Systems or Pre-jacking systems, High Pressure-Low pressure systems or Filtration units etc,) for applications in Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Steel industries.
• Good knowledge in interpretation and compliance of project specification from OEM, EPC and end user will be added advantage.
• Hands on experience in selection and release of purchase specifications (Datasheets) of field measurement instruments like Pressure, Level & Temperature gauges, transmitter etc.
• Working knowledge with API 682, API 610, API 614, ASTM/ASME piping, and pressure vessels standards are preferable.
• Supervisory or Co-ordination experience with fabricators of Lube oil systems or Filtration or other similar low- and high-pressure Equipment would be an added advantage.
• Hands on Skills with automation will be an added advantage.
