Hubbell Engineering located in Ascendas, ITPL,Chennai, is engaged in the business of computer aided design and engineering services. The Hubbell Business Solutions functions at Infopark Kochi, provide superior business intelligence, knowledge services and business process solutions across Hubbell divisions and Corporate. IT Services team is spread across Chennai and Kochi.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is self-driven and an innovative designer with sound knowledge in fiber optic telecom enclosures and IP rated connecters.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Interact with US clients to understand and gather project requirements.
• Ideate conceptual 3D design & complete assembly for telecom products such as Fiber Optic Terminal closures & FO Joint closures based on respective Telcordia GR standard.
• Generate conceptual 3D design, engineering calculations and detailed design for extensive range of products such as Insulation Piercing connectors & LV ABC & MVCC cable connectors.
• Conceptual designs for the IP rated connectors & IP sealed products with respect to the product functionality.
• Validate the conceptual design integrity using FEA analysis and Rapid prototyping (3D Printing).
• Deliver complete and accurate detailed design drawings as required for part manufacturing with GD&T.
• Create Drawings based on ASME Y14.5M - 1994 standards.
• Designing parts that are feasible for manufacturing process like plastics, casting, and sheet metal fabrication.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical. Minimum 5 years\' experience in designing of Plastic components and Knowledge in plastic materials & manufacturing processes. Preferably 2 years\' experience in designing Fiber Optic Telecom products. (Enclosures)
