POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Engineer - Production sustains, develops, plans, and implements necessary processes and tools to produce and deliver for production Operations. This position serves as an individual contributor, Guides & directs the other supervisors in his/her area of responsibility on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.. The individual will be expected to Works with planning department to meet customer demands. This position is Responsible for ensuring that all associates achieve safety, productivity, and on-time performance goals.

THE ROLE

This role is responsible for executing Member of continuous improvement activities through one-on-one encounters, by ensuring training of production personnel on specific job functions, and promoting task forces & production team efforts. Responsible for ensuring that all associates achieve safety, productivity, and on-time performance goals to achieve overall organization\'s objectives. In addition, this role would have to liaise with Multi-discipline team including support functions, to delight our Internal and External stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of the role are to implement the required action plan, manage , sustains, develops, plans, and implements necessary processes and tools to produce and deliver for S&OP Operations testing collaborating globally with Gates team and activities to support efforts to achieve setting up standard processes and help drive the global commercialization team to aligned global processes and outputs. The role shall carry out tactical activities to manage and coach the Indian commercialization team to work with standard processes. In addition, it is to support key tasks, including managing the Design, and release Gates fluid power products aligned with Global vision and aspirations.

• Leads and directs personnel in the manufacturing of products reflecting a high degree of quality while maintaining 100% of the planned requirements, to obtain customer & associate satisfaction.
• To maintain a safe working environment by ensuring that all safety goals are met, and all safety procedures and policies are followed & practiced by everyone.
• Responsible for meeting cost objectives through scrap & defect reductions, as well as control of material and labour variances.
• Also must work in close liaison with the Maintenance Department to ensure that all preventative maintenance programs are maintained with minimum machine downtime.
• Oversees shift supervisors in his /her respective area, and works closely with all production personnel to solve daily problems at the floor level.
• Responsible for coordinating manpower to required levels.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent operates as an Individual contributor & reports to and support Manager - Production in all day-to-day operations to achieve the objectives of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Graduate in Engineering.
• 6-8 years of experience in similar type of industries.
• Should be a team leader to manage and encourage team to take new challenges.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Sound knowledge of Standard Work Procedure in Manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of different tools of Production Process and Quality Concepts.
• Working knowledge of Total Hose Manufacturing Process.
• Good Planning and Organizing Capabilities.
• Leadership & Innovative Skills
• Effective Time and Resource Management Skills.
• Committed towards Responsibilities
• Ability to materialize the concept of GPS, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban, Error-Proofing, TPM, SPC, APQP and 5S.
