Extra High Voltage Engineer (Sub-station, Secondary design) - Onshore/ Offshore

In this technical position, you will play a crucial role in designing and creating technical documents in line with the project requirements. You will work closely with specialists, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards. Together, we work closely with our customers on some of the most significant green projects worldwide, contributing to a sustainable future.Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting detailed EHV design and tendering for onshore/offshore AIS/GIS substations up to 400 kV.
• Perform protection and control design tasks, including panel arrangements, one-line/single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC schematics, DC elementary, equipment wiring, relay panel wiring diagrams, cable and conduit schedules, and bill of materials.
• Preparing calculations and reports for engineering studies such as voltage drop, AC/DC load studies, CT and VT sizing, battery/DG sizing, cable sizing, and LV cable estimation.
• Reviewing drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQs), evaluating vendor offers for protection relays, SAS, LVAC, and DC systems, generate single-line diagrams (SLDs), protection and control SLDs, interlocking schemes, cable schedules, review schematics, automation drawings, and propose SAS signal lists.
• Coordinating with primary design engineers to obtain client specifications and evaluation checklists from project engineering managers.
• Evaluating and submit technical offers based on client technical specifications in a timely manner.
• Preparing purchase specifications for substation equipment, review supplier offers, prepare loading data, and review and comment on supplier drawings.
• Interacting with site execution and cluster teams to clarify equipment designs, and engage with vendors to ensure compliance with technical specifications, comments, and quality requirements.
• Taking full responsibility for analyzing and commenting on customer specifications, writing clarifications, and seeking necessary amendments.

• A bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in electrical engineering with 6-10 years of experience.
• Experience in high voltage substation secondary design up to 400 kV, covering both AIS and GIS.
• Ability to create, review, and execute secondary engineering/electrical design activities for substation and power distribution projects.
• Tender design experience is desired; experience with Digital Substations is an asset.
• Fully conversant with the latest T&D standards and a good understanding of relevant standards and specifications, such as IS, EN/BS, IEC, IEEE, Electricity Rules, CIGRE, CBIP, NEC, Fire Safety, and standard practices.
• Fully conversant with health and safety standards and regulations applicable to the design of HV substations.
• High level of IT literacy, particularly with Word, Visio, and Excel.
• Expertise in concept design, FEED design, and detailed engineering.
• Excellent proficiency in English for composing complex technical documentation and communicating with clients.
