JOB PURPOSE


This resource is critical to support the increasing business needs of creating prototypes for customer engagement in new application development and market creation for specialty materials to enable GROWTH. The primary expectation from this role is to perform independently the job of CNC programming and machining activities to create prototypes from plastic block for customer support. The secondary expectations from this role is the collaboration with the project leader, who is managing the application testing lab in GApT and deliver excellent support in tool & die making, tool maintenance, part testing & validation, measurements in CMM, 3D printing, 3D scanning, teardown, data analysis, documentation and other application lab activities in STC-B to drive growth for specialty business





JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• On-time delivery of high-quality prototypes to customers by performing independently the CNC Programming & Machining activities in GApT lab.
• Collaboration with Project Leader of application testing lab and deliver excellent support in part testing & validation, measurements in CMM, 3D printing, 3D scanning, teardown, tool & die making and other lab activities.
• Data analysis for key insights and technical documentation. To strictly follow the safe work ethics, maintain proper housekeeping and demonstrate behavior-based safety culture.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Degree / Diploma in Tool & Die Making (from NTTF, GTTC or CEPET) or BE in Mechanical Engineering/Automotive engineering/Industrial production/Polymer science or any other related disciplines from premier academic institutions.
• CNC machining certificate is an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years relevant hands-on experience in Tool room or Tool maintenance or CNC machine shop
• CNC Programming & CNC Machining skills to build prototype independently
• Tool & Die making skills for mold maintenance and fixture development
• Part testing, measurement
• Prototyping ; CAD modeling, CNC programming and CNC machining
• Part testing & measurement
• Manufacturing processes; tooling, fixture development, Secondary operations
