### About the role


As an Engineer you work within a multi-disciplined team to produce and deliver industry leading HR solutions through innovative thinking. You are responsible for maintaining existing production release software and designing and the building and testing of new product functionality.

Role Accountabilities and responsibilities

• Work closely and collaborate in an agile team with other developers, UX and QA, to develop and test quality code.


• Drive innovative solutions to technical problems on current and new application functionality


• Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly with regards to performance and current best practices.


• Use emerging technologies and continually seek to push the boundaries in everything you do


• Collaborate with other Engineers, Test Engineers, Lead Engineers, Engineering Managers and the Product Management, IT & Product Support teams to ensure the successful execution and seamless delivery of new product functionality.


• Advise and assist the Product Management team and customers in analysing the requirements for future core and customised developments.
• Document software inputs, outputs and defects in Azure DevOps (ADO) and proactively communicate with Test Engineers in order to ensure efficient management and burndown of backlog items.
• Appropriately flag any issues and plans to address to the Lead Engineer in order to demonstrate ownership of resolution

### Skills & experience

About you:
• Using modern HTML, CSS, and TypeScript or JavaScript.
• React Native and/or React to create reactive UI following a component-based architecture.
• Practicing test-driven development (TDD).
• Writing unit or snapshot tests using Jest, Enzyme, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Implementing accessible solutions that meet WCAG 2.1 web accessibility standards.
• Using front end build tools such as NPM or Yarn, Webpack, or similar tools.
• Identifying and implementing appropriate front end design patterns and architectures, such as MVC, MVVM, CBA, unidirectional data flow and two-way data binding
