General Summary:

Job function:

• USB team is looking for smart, innovative, and motivated individual to join the team to work on design and development of an optimized USB stack for leading edge USB technologies used in Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets
• Candidate will be working closely with cross-functional teams - hardware, software, and product/test engineering etc. - in design and development of an optimized USB stack for low memory footprint.
• Responsibilities:

• Design and development of an optimized USB stack on Qualcomm multiprocessor platforms
• Develop USB interface drivers for USB tethering protocols like RNDIS/ECM/DUN and support issues.
• Work with internal and external teams to design and implement new features in USB.
• Support the team with failure triage, system debug, clear email communication, and customer support

Minimum Qualifications: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master\'s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

• Thorough Embedded C programming knowledge & experience (especially pointers, structures, linked lists etc.,) & Assembly programming knowledge
• Hands On Experience for Device Driver development with any of standard protocols such as SPI, UART, USB etc.,
• Thorough RTOS knowledge and experience (Mutex, spinlocks, Queues, Signaling, Events, Deferred function calls & Callbacks, Multi-thread & Multi-process environments, Concurrency Scenarios etc.,), Linux Knowledge, Kernel & User Space knowledge
• 1 to 3 years of experience with embedded system
• Knowledge and experience in device driver development, firmware development
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work across different technologies and teams
• Knowledge and experience in RTOS
• Experience with Perforce for version control
• Ability to read schematics, use test equipment such as JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers and scope
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with parallel-processing concepts such as threads, signals, priorities, semaphores, mutexes, race-conditions, deadlocks, etc.
• Must be proficient in C / C++
• Good understanding of microprocessor, multiprocessor architecture.
• Excellent understanding of basic real-time/embedded programming concepts
• Experience in peripheral interface drivers; USB/PCIeI2C/SPI/UART and ACPI/UEFI would be plus
