Design Engineer
Brief Description/Job Summary (this section is to be used for postings on social media outlets - examples below):
GCC Vadodara campus, seeks to hire a Mechanical Engineer, in this position, A candidate from a design background is someone who has experience and expertise in designing products designing and developing sheet metal, casting, and fabrication structures, maintaining BOM and drawings with GD&T, and utilizing Creo simulation and programming for 2D/3D CAD preparation. Proficiency in Creo software and AutoCAD, and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of international standards and one should also be willingness to travel are essential. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:• Design and development of sheet metal, casting, fabrication structure.
• Create and maintain BOM, drawings with GD&T, Tolerance stack up, and Tooling feasibility.
• Creo simulation and Creo programming with skeleton modelling and surfacing.
• Create detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD software ( AutoCAD, Creo).
• Carry out design change request on-time bound manner in PLM Windchill.
• Doing the detail engineering, manufacturing and feasibility review.
• Independently or with less assistance perform the task.
• Communicate with cross-functional and cross-cultural team.
• Willing to travel local/global site for short to long duration based on need.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and Project Team.


Must to Have:• Hands-on experience of Creo software(must), PDM windchill and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of welding process and application.
• English knowledge is must both written and communication.


Good to Have:• Selection of various grades of materials as per application and cost viability.
• Design piping systems, including layout, material selection, ensure piping designs comply with industry standards and regulations.


Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:+ 6 years of experience with Design & Detailing.

• B.Tech./ BE in Mechanical.
• Sound understanding of Sheet Metal, Casting and Metallic materials.
• Experience with GD&T, Tolerance Stack up analysis.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of international & industry standards ISO, BS, ASTM.
• Diverse Candidate are preferred.
