Pratt & Whitneys Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development, certification and maintenance of aircraft engine control and diagnostic systems and software. The software department at the India Engineering Center (IEC)s focus is on supporting and owning sections of the control and prognostic software development, test and certification activities. We are seeking highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven engineers to join the India Engineering Centers Control and Diagnostic Systems organization. The software development follows both Agile and waterfall approaches.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for:
  • Play a critical role in safety critical aerospace software development and verification to DO-178B/C standards
  • Decompose system level and customer requirements into software requirements and designs
  • Conduct iterative prototype testing of requirements and designs
  • Development of verification artifacts for high level and low-level requirements
  • Create problem reports for all failed test cases and issues identified with the product
  • Support conduct of root cause analysis and corrective and preventative actions for escapes or impactful turnbacks
  • Manage software artifacts change using configuration and change management tools
  • Support in preparation of software certification documents
  • Participate in Stage of Involvement audits
  • Participate in process and tool improvement initiatives

Other major areas of responsibilities include
  • Active participation in group meetings, teleconferences
  • Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of Quality Management System.
Education :
  • BE in Electronics and Communication, Avionics, or Computer Science.
  • Masters degree in Avionics

Qualification :
  • Good Knowledge on C / C++ programing
  • Good Knowledge on scripting language such as python, java
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
