Bechtels ER Coordinators manage performance and attendance matters, workforce reductions, rehire verifications, and resolution of ER inquiries. This role also manages workplace accommodations, telework designations, and supports workplace investigations and ER reporting and compliance.Major Responsibilities:
  • Performance Management:
  • Advises supervisors and managers on performance-related issues and assists with developing and implementing performance improvement plans, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Workforce Reductions:
  • Supports the planning and execution of workforce reductions, including communication, documentation, and logistical coordination.
  • Rehire Verifications:
  • Assist and respond to requests for rehire verification, ensuring all necessary criteria and documentation are met.
  • ER Inquiries:
  • Responds to employee relations inquiries, providing guidance and resolution in a timely and effective manner. Monitors and manages the centralized ER inbox, triaging and prioritizing inquiries and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Workplace Accommodations:
  • Assists with processing and managing requests for workplace accommodations, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements.
  • Medical Telework Designation Requests:
  • Processes and evaluates medical telework designation requests, coordinating with relevant departments and individuals to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Investigation Support:
  • Provides administrative support for workplace investigations, including but not limited to scheduling interviews, organizing documentation, taking notes during interviews, requesting and reviewing evidence, researching, and maintaining electronic case files.
  • ER Reporting & Compliance:
  • Assists with generating and maintaining accurate ER reporting.
  • BCMS Maintenance:
  • Assists with auditing and maintaining accurate ER data and records in the companys case management system (BCMS).
  • Other assigned duties as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Typically requires six or more years of related HR experience.
  • Associate degree or related technical training preferred.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • High level of discretion and ethical judgment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with electronic case management systems is a plus.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Formal training and/or certification in workplace investigations.
  • Able to work effectively across geographical and cultural boundaries.
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of empathy balanced against an ability to provide direct feedback and engage in difficult and sensitive conversations.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data to generate comprehensive reports and identify trends.
