Job Title: Emergency Room (ER) Physician

Location: PRK Super Specialty Hospitals, Chandanagar, Hyderabad

Job Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Head of Emergency Department

Job Summary:

The ER Physician at PRK Super Specialty Hospitals will be responsible for providing immediate and comprehensive medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with a wide range of medical conditions and emergencies. The ER Physician will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:

- Perform thorough and rapid assessments of patients presenting to the ER.

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, and CT scans.

- Formulate differential diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment plans.

2. Emergency Treatment:

- Provide immediate medical care to patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions.

- Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide resuscitation as needed.

- Stabilize patients and coordinate their transfer to appropriate departments for further care if required.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.

- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses.

- Maintain clear and accurate medical records and documentation.

4. Procedures and Interventions:

- Perform a variety of emergency procedures such as intubations, central line placements, suturing, and splinting.

- Manage trauma cases and provide advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS).

5. Patient Management:

- Monitor and reevaluate patients' conditions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

- Provide follow-up care instructions and ensure proper discharge planning.

- Refer patients to specialists or admit them to the hospital as required.

6. Quality and Safety:

- Adhere to hospital protocols, guidelines, and best practices to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

- MBBS degree with a specialization in Emergency Medicine or relevant field.

- Valid medical license to practice in Hyderabad, India.

- Proven experience as an ER Physician or in a similar role in an emergency department.

- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

- Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform a wide range of emergency procedures.

- Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
