Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain firmware for GPS tracking devices, with an emphasis on performance optimization, power management, and robust operation.
• Program and test firmware for STM microcontroller series, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
• Work closely with hardware teams to understand hardware specifications and contribute to the embedded software lifecycle from development to deployment.
• Utilize strong logical skills to debug and resolve firmware issues, optimize system performance, and integrate new features.
• Ensure the stability and reliability of embedded systems through rigorous testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
• Implement RTOS-based designs, state machines, and event-driven architectures as required..
• Maintain version control and documentation for all firmware development activities, adhering to best practices in software engineering.
• Participate in the creation and execution of validation plans, working closely with quality assurance teams to address potential issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate system requirements into functional firmware modules.
• Provide technical support for firmware issues; diagnose and troubleshoot complex software problems.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends in embedded firmware development and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.
• Mentor junior firmware engineers and provide guidance on best practices in embedded software development.
Qualifications:
• Master's or PhD from top schools in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in embedded firmware development, with a strong background in GPS technology.

• Proficient in embedded C/C++ programming, with a deep understanding of microcontroller-based design and development.
• Hands-on experience with STM microcontrollers, including familiarity with their software development kits and tools.
• Solid understanding of firmware development processes, including design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Knowledgeable in communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART) and interfacing with sensors and actuators. Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and an understanding of software architecture for embedded systems.
• Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex firmware issues. Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
