Develop test automation and firmware validation test harnesses for embedded devices and test equipment.
Define and develop new test cases for firmware feature testing.
Interfaces with internal customers for requirements analysis and schedule.
Oversee regression runs, including triaging of issue and report failures to firmware or other stakeholders.
Troubleshoot variety of complex problems.
Provide timely status updates and proactive communications on issues to the stakeholders.
Able to interface with internal and external stake holders regarding firmware issues.
Functional Knowledge
Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science / Information Science / Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation with strong background in Industrial automation software is desirable.
8+ years of experience in firmware/software test development using Robot Framework (or similar tools).
5+ years of experience with software validation for embedded platforms.
Skilled in Python script development.
Knowledge of standard test equipment (signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc) interface communication protocol (Virtual Instrument Software Architecture).
Knowledge of Industrial communication standards like RS232, Modbus, DeviceNet, EtherCAT would be a plus.
Prior experience of working in global teams and interfacing with multiple stake holders.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to interact with extended teams spread across the globe.
Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
