Job Overview:
The Electronics Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Fire Alarm systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics, circuits, and troubleshooting techniques, as well as the ability to work with a variety of electrical and electronic components. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically proficient, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to ensure systems function reliably and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose, repair, and maintain Fire Alarm Systems and equipment, including circuit boards, microcontrollers, power supplies, and sensors.
• Installation: Install, test, and configure Fire Alarm Systems in new or existing setups, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Troubleshooting: Utilize testing equipment (e.g., Multimeters) to identify and troubleshoot faults in wiring, circuits, components, and systems.
• System Upgrades: Perform upgrades and modifications to existing Fire Alarm Systems including programing, ensuring they meet updated specifications and industry standards.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and reports on repairs and maintenance actions.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and tests of Fire Alarm Systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other technicians to develop and refine system designs and improve operational efficiency.
• Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers or internal teams regarding system malfunctions, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and standards to minimize risks related to electrical hazards and equipment handling.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: Industrial training Institute certified, Diploma in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of electronics theory, components, and circuit design.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
• Familiarity with digital and analog electronics, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.
• Knowledge of soldering, PCB assembly, and component-level repairs.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality in all aspects of work.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support cross-functional efforts.
Working Conditions:
• Full-time, with occasional overtime required depending on project deadlines.
• May involve working in various environments, including clean rooms, workshops, or on-site installations.
• The role may require some travel for equipment installation or repair at customer sites or resident engineer at site.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move electronic equipment weighing up to 15 Kg.
• Ability to work in environments with exposure to electrical components and tools.
