Job Summary:
The Electronic Data Personnel is responsible for managing and maintaining electronic data systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility across the organization. This role involves overseeing data entry, database management, data analysis, and the implementation of data-related systems and tools to support organizational operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Management:
• Oversee the collection, entry, and management of electronic data within organizational systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness by implementing and monitoring data validation procedures.
• Perform regular data backups and ensure data recovery processes are in place and functioning effectively.
• Database Administration:
• Administer and maintain databases, including configuring, monitoring, and optimizing performance.
• Develop and implement database management policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including data discrepancies and access problems.
• Data Security:
• Implement and enforce data security measures to protect sensitive and confidential information.
• Monitor access controls and ensure compliance with data protection regulations and organizational policies.
• Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments related to data management systems.
• System Integration and Support:
• Assist with the integration of electronic data systems with other organizational tools and platforms.
• Provide technical support to users regarding data systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Work with IT and other departments to ensure that data systems meet the needs of various business units.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze data to generate insights and reports that support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualization tools to facilitate data-driven insights.
• Ensure the timely and accurate generation of reports and data extracts as required by stakeholders.
• Training and Documentation:
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on data management systems and procedures.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data management processes and systems.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in electronic data management and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in data management or database administration are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in electronic data management, database administration, or a similar role.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of database systems, data security practices, and data analysis techniques. Familiarity with data management software and tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, BI tools).
• Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Database Administrator, Certified Data Management Professional) are advantageous.
