The Electrician Service Technician for Commercial Kitchen Equipment is responsible for providing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair services for commercial kitchen equipment used in restaurants, hotels, catering facilities, and other foodservice establishments. They ensure the safe and efficient operation of various electrical systems and equipment within commercial kitchens.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Maintenance: Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment used in commercial kitchens, including ovens, grills, fryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, ventilation systems, and other related appliances.

2. Electrical Wiring: Perform electrical wiring tasks, including connecting equipment to power sources and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

3. Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose electrical problems, malfunctions, or failures in commercial kitchen equipment, and implement effective solutions to restore proper functionality.

4. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify potential electrical issues and ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.

5. Upgrades and Modifications: Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems and equipment to meet changing operational requirements or to enhance energy efficiency.

6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities, including equipment specifications, work performed, parts used, and any other relevant information.

7. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, electrical codes, and regulations while performing all electrical tasks, ensuring a safe working environment for self and others.

8. Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, address their concerns, provide guidance on equipment operation and maintenance, and offer recommendations for improving system performance.

9. Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to customers and other staff members on the proper use and maintenance of electrical equipment.

10. Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other components of the commercial kitchen.

ELEGIBITY CRITERIA :

1. Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or relevant vocational training is highly desirable. Valid electrician license or certification is preferred.

2. Experience: Previous experience as an electrician, preferably in a commercial kitchen or foodservice environment, is essential. Experience with electrical systems and equipment used in the foodservice industry is highly advantageous.

3. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, electrical codes, and safety practices. Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment, such as ovens, grills, fryers, dishwashers, and refrigeration systems.

4. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

5. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to inspecting, testing, and repairing electrical systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.

6. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

7. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines.

8. Physical Stamina: Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in tight spaces.

9. Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is usually required, as the technician may need to travel to different locations for service calls.
