Job Description

Job Summary: An electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role involves working with wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Inspect electrical systems and components to identify issues or hazards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical code specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and construction professionals to complete projects.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior electricians.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in electrical technology preferred.
• Proven experience as an electrician (e.g., 2-5 years).
• Valid electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and circuitry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle various tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to electrical work.

Working Conditions:

• May involve working in various environments, including homes, offices, and industrial settings.
• Requires working at heights, in confined spaces, and under varying weather conditions.
• May require irregular hours, including weekends or on-call shifts.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
• Good manual dexterity and coordination.
