Position: ITI Electrician
Location: Pesticides Manufacturing Plant
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in industrial electrical maintenance or similar environments
Job Summary:
The ITI Electrician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in the pesticides manufacturing plant. With a focus on safety, compliance, and troubleshooting, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience with industrial electrical systems, PLCs, motor control systems, and troubleshooting techniques. This role requires hands-on involvement in plant electrical maintenance, installation, and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
• Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, ensuring maximum operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in machinery, control panels, circuit breakers, and other electrical systems in the plant.
• Identify, diagnose, and rectify electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Installation and Upgrades:
• Install, test, and commission electrical systems, wiring, and equipment as per safety standards and plant requirements.
• Assist with electrical system upgrades and the implementation of new systems in the plant.
• PLC Systems & Automation:
• Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to ensure the proper functioning of automated processes in the plant.
• Collaborate with the automation team to diagnose and repair PLC faults, including wiring and logic errors.
• Compliance & Safety:
• Ensure all electrical work complies with national electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Follow strict safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while working on electrical systems.
• Record Keeping & Documentation:
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and electrical system upgrades.
• Prepare reports for management on electrical system performance and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaboration:
• Coordinate with other departments, such as production, maintenance, and safety teams, to ensure that plant operations run smoothly.
• Provide training and support to junior electricians and operators as required.
• Emergency Response:
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and provide troubleshooting support to resolve critical issues that affect plant production.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of electrical parts and equipment, ensuring the availability of necessary tools and materials.
Qualifications:
• ITI certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, control panels, and electrical schematics.
• Experience with PLC systems, motor drives, and automated equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to electrical work in hazardous environments.
• Good understanding of plant operations and their interdependence with electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
