Job Description

Commercial electricians work on electrical systems in commercial buildings, such as office parks and retail stores. Their responsibilities include:

• Installation : Installing electrical fixtures, equipment, and apparatus, such as switches, circuit-breaker panels, and resistors
• Maintenance : Performing routine inspections and replacements to prevent system breakdowns
• Troubleshooting : Identifying hazards and malfunctions, and repairing or replacing damaged units
• Testing : Testing electrical systems and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
• Documentation : Documenting repairs and modifications
• Safety : Ensuring compliance with building and safety codes
• Collaboration : Working with architects, contractors, and clients

Commercial electricians may need to work early in the morning or late at night to accommodate business hours. They should have the following skills and abilities:

• Physical strength : Be able to perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches, lifting heavy objects, and climbing ladders
• Color recognition : Be able to see and discern color, since electrical wiring is often color-coded
• Technical skills : Be able to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents
• Project management : Be able to manage projects and make decisions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?18,000.00 per month

Experience:
