Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician cum Handyman to join our small hospital team. The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of electrical systems, generators, and backup systems, along with the ability to handle various mechanical tasks. The candidate must be intelligent, resourceful, and possess excellent communication skills to interact effectively with hospital staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment within the hospital.

Ensure the hospital's electrical systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly.

Generator and Backup Systems:

Manage the hospital's generators and backup power systems.

Perform regular maintenance and testing of generators to ensure reliable operation during power outages.

Monitor and manage fuel supply for generators.

Mechanical Maintenance:

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment.

Handle plumbing, HVAC, and other general maintenance tasks as needed.

Assist with the installation and maintenance of medical equipment.

Handyman Duties:

Perform general handyman tasks, including minor repairs, carpentry, and maintenance.

Assist with the setup and dismantling of equipment and fixtures for hospital events and activities.

Respond to maintenance requests from hospital staff in a timely and efficient manner.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all electrical and mechanical work complies with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.

Participate in safety training and emergency preparedness drills.

Qualifications:

Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, generators, and backup power systems.

Experience with general handyman tasks and maintenance.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Familiarity with hospital equipment and systems.
