Job Description

Responsibilities: 1) Responsible at a project site for timely, safe & efficient commissioning of all Electrical Systems of a large size gas/oil based combined cycle/cogeneration power plant and/or a large size coal based power plant(Unit size >600MW). 2) Candidate should have proven track record in commissioning of power plant in a reputed organization (organization list required). Related experience of a gas/oil based 350-400 MW Combined cycle/cogen plant and/or a Coal based thermal 500 MW units preferable. He shall possess experience and expertise in the following activities: \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Planning & mobilization of manpower / resource (Testing tools & Kits) for site commissioning activities. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Testing and configuration of all types of Protection relays (Numeric and Electromechanical relays) of all manufactures. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Should be familiar with all relay testing kits (Omicron/ Doble/ Megger). \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Control & relay panel schematic checking / Interlock verification and modification at site. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Commissioning of DC systems (Including Battery Chargers), UPS, HT Switchgear, Fast bus transfer, EDG, Transformers (UT/ST/GT), HT & LT Motors, Busducts, Generator, AVR, SFC and Switchyard. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Stability test for Motor/ Transformer/Generator. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Should be able to review relay setting coordination (for Over all plant) during commissioning. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Should have hands on experience in dynamic testing of SFC, AVR ((Limiters like OEL, V/Hz, MEL, PSS), Generator (OCC, SCC) and synchronization with grid. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Should be able to review schematic drawing from various vendors for integration (Say integration of GT Bay in Switchyard with Generator). \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Should have experience in all types of special tests at site (Say SFRA & Tan- Delta for Transformer and Potier Reactance measurement & HV test for Generator). \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Should have the experience in handing emergencies (Say blackout) and should have the ability to analyze the tripping with the Event records and SOE to find out root cause. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Should be able to carry out Commissioning activities of all electrical systems in a power plant with minimum supervision. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Should be able to prepare technical reports and commissioning progress reports for progress monitoring. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Preparation of testing record for customer submission. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Preparation of AS built drawing post commissioning for handover. \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Imparting training to customer during commissioning / classroom sessions \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Hand holding/training OEM personnel/Technical advisors at site \xc3\xaf\xe2\x80\x9a Familiarity with PTW and LOTO
