We are currently seeking new talented individuals to join our Engineering Desing team for Electrical Instrumentation - Design & Project position. Job Title: Electrical Instrumentation - Design & Project Location: Kolkata Responsibilities:
- Analysis of contractual technical specifications and the related comments and approvals
- Project Engineer for planning and technical development of detailed electrical engineering for order cabling / interconnecting (IC DD) which includes:
- Preparation of engineering specifications to be distributed to external technical offices for the development of the detail cabling engineering;
- Planning, coordination and monitoring of both internal and external engineering activities;
- Preparation and validation of the technical documentation.
- Preparation of Material Requisitions for materials purchasing.
- Support activities on the construction site for technical clarifications during the Erection and Commissioning phases.
- Support to the Project Manager and the Proposal Office to confirm planning and estimation of engineering and electrical materials costs both in the offering phase and in the order development phase; proactive reporting in the event of postponement of times or extra-costs of the order proposing a recovery action plan.
- Report to the project manager about the progress of the project engineering and propose / agree actions for technical improvement and / or risk mitigation in relation to time and costs.
- Support for the development of tender specifications for external purchasing (i.e. primary grounding, lighting system, ecc.)
- Experience with Indian steel producers, consultants and suppliers.
- Electrical design capability 2D (Autocad), basic 3D capability will be a plus (Naviswork/PDMS/AVEVA E3D).
- experience in the role in companies in the EPC sector / Plant Design / Consultancy
- The knowledge and use of calculation programs for cable sizing is appreciated (Ampere / Caneco / ETAP), cable routing (Cavplus or similar), coordination of protections and lighting calculations.
- Good communication skills and team spirit
- Knowledge of IS and GTS, international std also required
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
