We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with experience in designing, coordinating and delivering projects in an airport environment. The candidate would be an Electrical Engineer by qualification with airfield and infrastructure design experience, including successful delivery of schemes from concept to detailed design. The position requires credibility, competence and technical excellence as it will be a role working closely with industry leading clients, stakeholders and will necessitate the development, approval and implementation of robust design solutions through collaborative working, trust and proactive management of client demands. Requirements: Minimum 5 Years of experience in the design for airfield infrastructure projects for private airports, regional and international airports by applying engineering principles. Specific tasks include airside and groundside electrical design, floodlighting design, lighting design for new runways, taxiways, aprons, airside service roads, airside commercial developments. Develop and prepare the design specifications, cost estimates and tender packages for airfield projects. Conduct QC/QA reviews and stamp/seal engineering documents. Assist in the development and preparation of figures, design drawings, specifications, calculations, life cycle cost analysis, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, technical reports, design briefs etc. Coordinating with other disciplines as required. Wider knowledge of other disciplines is highly desirable. Experience of working in multi-Discipline environment and good understanding of co-ordination and interfaces with other disciplines. Possess knowledge and experience of using FAA, ICAO and Transport Canada standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current Transport Canada, ICAO, FAA and related standards and recommended practices. Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of reviewing agencies such as NAV CANADA, Transport Canada, Municipalities, etc. Be a competent user of IT tools in particular Word, Excel, Outlook and Electrical design tools like Amtech, Dialux, Relux, Specsizer, etc. Able to independently deliver work and integrate with larger project teams. Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients is essential. Experience in coordinating and delivering electrical design solutions on time and to budget. Effective communicator (written, verbal & presentations). Responsibilities: Technical responsibility for the delivery of airfield electrical design projects. Profitable delivery of our consultancy services. Developing competitive project tender proposals. Obtaining stakeholder input and agreement to technical solutions. Co-ordination with other discipline inputs involved within various projects.
