Were looking for a developing, innovative Electrical Engineer, to assist in planning and designing projects within the Design Department.

Responsibilities will include performing specific tasks on project teams related to engineering design, such as lighting calculations, demand load estimates, and drafting construction plans. Youll apply your education, creativity, and expertise to resolve engineering problems, with opportunities to learn from more experienced staff, who will be available to provide guidance and direction.

As you grow in your electrical engineering career, youll prepare designs for low voltage systems, fire alarm systems, backup power generation, electrical power distribution, life safety systems, etc. Youll learn how to use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.). Preparing project-related calculations will require the use of engineering formulas and specialty software.

Youll have the opportunity to research design options and document findings for the Project Designer/Engineer. Some drawings youll create yourself, and other sketches will be incorporated into drawings by drafters. You may create specialized drawings such as electrical riser diagrams. These drawings and designs must be done in accordance with company production and design standards. Youll help select equipment based on Project Designer/Engineer recommendations and fill out equipment schedules. When code issues arise, youll research them and ask general questions of code officials.

You will be responsible for modifying reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects, as well as organizing and maintaining files. Youll keep the Project Manager and Lead Engineer informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services for incorporation into drawings and specifications.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year College or University.
• General knowledge of the principles of Electrical systems.

• Manpower Planning: Planning of manpower requirement (Engineers & Technicians) with HOD based on present workload for the their project.
• Progress review: Periodical review of project progress with respect to project schedule & allocation of additional resources on need basis.
• Motivating department colleagues working with them to complete timely project to the satisfaction of client.
• To provide technical help to the colleagues in the department whenever required.
• To make & update engineering standards related to specifications for procurement for various electrical items, design calculations, bill of material etc.
• To attend various technical seminars in order to update with latest technology available in the market & to transfer the same to the department colleagues.
• Conduct site visits to understand project issues and resolve them.
• Training of junior engineers working in the department under them.
• Review of various documents produced by the leads and provide comments, if any.
• Occasionally work as lead for project.
