Summary As Electrical Engineer with MIC (Maternal Infant Care) hardware team, you will work on installed base issues and developing new features for the Infant care products. Roles and Responsibilities In this role you will - Design Electronic boards and interconnects comprising Digital, Analog, Power and microcontroller/Microprocessor based design Troubleshooting and Design improvements for Customer/Field issues Continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives. Engage in end to end Product development cycle including Concept, architecture, Prototype, Documentation, Testing, Supply chain, Manufacturing and Service Support Design updates & build boards, Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) Analysis, Pre-compliance test, Documentation - high level design document (HDD), DVP (Design for Verification), De-rating and Formal board level verification and release Solving board bring up challenges and design verification and validation. Seek opportunities for Cost productivity in design and product life cycle Actively recommend new technology initiatives driving business & customer benefits. Ensure Reliability through Design for reliability processes. Be aware of and comply with the GE Healthcare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Qualifications/Requirements Required Qualifications B.S/ B.Tech / Masters degree in Electrical /Electronics Engineering with 4+ years experience Desired Characteristics Experience in Digital, Analog and Power Supply designs. Experience in design of Power Supplies like AC-DC convertors and DC-DC convertors (like Buck, Boost and Flyback) Experience in Analog Circuit Design like, Voltage/Current/Temperature signal conditioning, Amplifiers & Filter circuits. Experience in Digital Circuit Design like, Microcontroller/Microprocessor based design. Communications interfaces and protocols like I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, CAN, USB and Ethernet. ADC, DAC, Logic Devices, Memories, LCD interface. Switches - SCR, TRIAC, MOSFET, IGBT, Relay Component selection, obsolescence management, de-rating analysis, DFMEA. Coordinate with PCB designers and provide PCB design guidelines to obtain optimal placement and routing. Experience in EMI/EMC compliance.
