Job Description

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for conceptualizing and detailed electrical designs of solar power plants (SPV) for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The candidate will also be responsible to support development, engineering, and construction for SPV ranging from 1KW to 5MW.

Roles and responsibilities:

  Independently create and optimize preliminary conceptual design layouts and schematics for grid-tied photovoltaic power plants and battery storage systems.
• Assist sales team in interacting with clients and conveying technical details.
• 
  
  Coordination with the construction & commissioning team
• Perform broad range of engineering calculations - and use of software tools
• Use his/her experience to assist the project team in making design decisions and build consensus within the team.
• 
  Work cross-functionally with sales, project support team and installation teams.
• Performing Site survey and Assisting site surveys.

  Strong AUTOCAD skills is must.
• BE/BTech. degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (MS/M. Tech. degree is a plus)
• 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in design of solar power systems (1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in solar rooftop
• Knowledge in National Electrical Code
• Knowledge in Electrical/Mechanical and construction safety including training and requirements.
• Must be proficient in PvSYSt/Helioscope/Aurora (or equivalent) and Google Sketchup.
• Must be proficient in preparing Bill of Material.
• Must be proficient in preparing detailed Drawings.
• Proficient with MS Office
