Job Summary: We are searching for a talented and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for our products, facilities, or client projects. You will utilize your expertise to ensure our electrical systems are safe, efficient, reliable, and meet all applicable codes and standards. Responsibilities:
Participate in the design process for new electrical systems, collaborating with mechanical and other engineering teams.
Analyze project requirements and specifications to determine appropriate electrical components, equipment, and control systems.
Perform electrical calculations to ensure proper sizing and capacity of electrical components (e.g., transformers, motors, cables).
Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including equipment specifications, bills of materials, and installation instructions.
Conduct or participate in electrical system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and adherence to design specifications.
Stay up-to-date on the latest electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., National Electrical Code [NEC]).
Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize electrical system designs for cost, efficiency, and maintainability.
May provide technical support to manufacturing or construction teams during installation and commissioning of electrical systems (depending on company structure).
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design engineering or a relevant field.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including circuits, power systems, and control theory.
Proficient in electrical design and drafting using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Eplan).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
