As a BIM Electrical Engineer deployed onsite for Elephant Creations, you will be instrumental in creating accurate and detailed shop drawings for electrical systems using BIM software. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will ensure that electrical designs are effectively coordinated within the overall building model, adhering to project requirements and industry standards. As a BIM Electrical Engineer deployed onsite for Elephant Creations, you will be instrumental in creating accurate and detailed shop drawings for electrical systems using BIM software. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will ensure that electrical designs are effectively coordinated within the overall building model, adhering to project requirements and industry standards. Responsibilities:
- BIM Modeling: Utilize BIM software (such as Revit MEP) to develop 3D models of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.
- Shop Drawings: Generate detailed shop drawings, schematics, and diagrams based on BIM models, incorporating design specifications, dimensions, and materials.
- Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate electrical designs within the overall building model, resolving clashes and conflicts as needed.
- Quantification: Assist in the quantification of electrical components and materials for cost estimation and procurement purposes.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, installation instructions, and equipment schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on BIM models and shop drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Onsite Deployment: Work onsite at project locations as required, liaising with project teams and providing support for BIM-related activities.
- Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to project team members on BIM software tools and workflows, particularly related to electrical systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on advancements in BIM technology and electrical engineering practices, and contribute to the enhancement of Elephant Creations\' BIM capabilities.
- Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience (X years) working in a BIM-related role, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit MEP, and familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to travel and work onsite at project locations as required.
