Job Description
An AutoCAD draftsman, also known as a CAD draftsman or CAD technician, is a professional who uses computer-aided design (CAD) software, specifically AutoCAD, to create technical drawings and plans for various industries. AutoCAD is a widely used software application for 2D and 3D computer-aided design and drafting. Drafting and Design: Create technical drawings, blueprints, or models using AutoCAD based on provided specifications, sketches, or design concepts. This may include floor plans, elevations, sections, details, or assembly drawings. Drafting Standards: Ensure that all drawings adhere to the appropriate drafting standards, such as dimensioning conventions, layering standards, and symbology. Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, or other professionals to understand project requirements, resolve design issues, and ensure accurate representation of design intent.
