POSITION: EVSE Installation Engineer:Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) Installation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of electric vehicle charging station installations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering or a related field, with experience in project management and hands-on installation of electrical systems. Responsibilities:
Site Assessment and Planning:
Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of EVSE installations, including site surveys, electrical system inspections, and infrastructure assessments.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to develop installation plans, identify equipment placement locations, and determine power supply requirements.
Technical Design and Engineering:
Design electrical layouts, wiring diagrams, and installation plans for EVSE systems, considering factors such as electrical load calculations, circuit protection, and equipment compatibility.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing electrical installations, including NBC ( National Building Code of India) NEC (National Electrical Code of India) and CEA safety guidelines and local codes.
Procurement and Materials Management:
Coordinate with procurement teams to source and procure materials, equipment, and components required for EVSE installations, including charging stations, mounting hardware, and electrical supplies.
Manage inventory levels, track material usage, and ensure timely delivery of materials to installation sites to support project timelines.
Installation and Commissioning:
Oversee the installation, assembly, and wiring of EVSE systems according to approved plans and specifications, ensuring proper grounding, bonding, and electrical connections.
Conduct functional testing, commissioning, and startup activities to verify the performance, functionality, and safety of installed EVSE systems.
Project Management and Coordination:
Develop project schedules, work plans, and resource allocation strategies to ensure timely completion of EVSE installations within budget and scope.
Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and third-party vendors to manage project logistics, resolve technical issues, and address customer requirements.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including as-built drawings, equipment specifications, test reports, and commissioning documentation.
Prepare project status reports, progress updates, and final documentation packages for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in electrical installation, construction, or project management, with a focus on electrical systems and infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of electrical principles, codes, and standards applicable to EVSE installations, including NEC, NBC, and local codes.
Familiarity with electrical design software, CAD tools, and technical drawing interpretation.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
