• Maintaining current knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.
• Responsible and ensuring readiness of emergency equipment at site.
• To inspect the locations where dangerous work i.e. (hot work, LOTO, work in confined space, work at height) to be performed and approve the permit if all the safety requirements are complied.
• Conduct risk assessment and closure of actions from the assessment.
• Take rounds of all plants from EHS point of view and reporting to head of EHS about any dispute, unsafe act & condition and taking suggestion if needed.
• Prepare, update and document the standard operating procedure (SOP) related to EHS and training to employees on the same.
• Responsible for realization / implementing the expectations of site EHS SOPs in the work areas.
• To participate in mock drill, conduct training on emergency handling equipment in plant & prepare the report.
• Maintaining the day-to-day EHS data and keep the data up to date.
• Follow up with the Engineering, project and laboratory regarding implementation of internal, external audit and other recommendations.
• Maintenance of PPE and procurement as and when needed.
• To participate and conduct awareness activities like exhibition, plantation, celebration of various days related to Environment, Health and Safety.
• Complete the assignments as per the direction of EHS head.
• Induction training to new employees and contractors.
• Any other activity assigned from time to time depending upon the requirement of Management.
Your experience and qualifications
• B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc. with ADIS
• 5 - 10 years
