Job Description


. Establishes, implements and maintain a formal, written E&S Program. . Review of monthly activity reports and Safety statistics reports of HZMC. . Ensures compliance of legal requirements for Environment & Safety. . Advice IC/JVs & Management in matters related to Environment & Safety. . Liaison with various statutory authorities and nearby Industries. . Ensure regular inspection & maintenance of Firefighting equipment\'s under HZCS and ensure Fire NOC for BH / MHC from SMC Fire dept. . Maintain the legal register to track the due date for applicable Licenses / Inspections . Ensure regular inspection of lifts under HZCS at HZMC and MHC through third party competent persons. . Ensure inspection of fire extinguisher, fire hydrant line and sprinklers at MHC & BH. Admin1/2 is responsible for compliance of the observations as per the inspection report. . Horizontal deployment of the approved procedure or system to unit EHS Head, who shall in turn circulate it to concerned authorities at unit level. . Conduct Fire Survey / assist in procurement of fire-fighting equipment for new factory / unit, assist in inspection of lift/lifting tools & tackles for projects handled by CS - Project department. . Accident Investigation, if concerned EHS department invites for investigation. . Facilitate Factory Inspector visit during their incident investigation and Audit if required. . Assist concerned IC/JV in preparing and submitting action plan report (reportable and/or fatal accident) to concerned Govt. authorities on their request. . Assist the concerned IC/JV to comply the recommendations given by Factory Inspector during their incident investigation. . Assist all EHS departments of IC/JV in the compliance of safety statutory requirements. . Co-ordinate, plan and prepare schedule of common programs such as celebration of National Safety Day, Road Safety week, L&T Safety Day etc. for employees and contract workmen.( While celebration of common programs, Covid19 prevention and protection norms shall be followed / Focus on digital way of celebration of events till normalcy of Covid19) . Conduct E&S awareness programs/Trainings at CTCW. (Focus on training through Webinar and ensure Induction training with due consideration of Covid19 compliances) . Support SIS for updating of training modules / Participants / coordination with other corporates (Focus on training through Webinar and ensure Covid19 compliances for Induction training) . Publishing in the E&S Newsletter. He will also select relevant articles/news etc. for publishing in the monthly Newsletter. EHS-2S will be responsible for circulating the same. . Collect safety data from individual EHS department in prescribed format, review, compile and communicate the same to all unit heads on monthly basis. . Analyze frequency rate, severity rate etc. monthly for all units across HZMC and communicate it to Directors & all unit EHS of IC/JVs across HZMC, to facilitate all units in achieving zero FR, SR & TAR. (Ref: HZCS-EHS-DPP 01, Rev:7) . Issue such work permits while following the procedures of HED for works to be carried out by Central Services. . Work Permit Issue in coordination with respective EHS department as per the respective IC/JVs procedures / formats. . Shall collect Environment & Safety initiative data from individual EHS department in prescribed format, review, compile the Environment & Safety e-newsletter and communicate the same to all unit heads on monthly basis. . Responsible to prepare and regular revise comprehensive on site emergency plan for HZMC . Shall coordinate for collection of e-waste from respective Units at HZMC and organize final disposal to GPCB registered recycler . Responsible to prepare / review Covid19 Prevention and Protection related SOP and Its approval. Also, to make audit / inspection schedule (cross unit audit / inspection for HZMC & Cross-functional audit / inspection for HED) for compliance monitoring. Also, to share best practices / preventive measures across HZMC.
