We are looking for EHS - Asst Manager role for Manufacturing/ Pharma / Beauty/Personal/Cosmetics Industry in Ahmedabad - Kheda. Below are the details ;- Position : Assistant manager - EHS Qualification : B.Sc / M.Sc / BE with Fire & Safety, Specialization Experience : Minimum 8 years of experience in a relevant field. Job Role : To develop and administer programs to ensure safety and compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations for employees, facilities, operations and the visiting public. Job responsibilities :- Essential Functions :- To recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees\' exposure to chemical, physical and biological work hazards. To regularly inspect facilities, machinery and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and to ensure safety regulation compliance. To investigate industrial accidents, injuries or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures. To review plans and specifications for construction of new machinery or equipment to determine whether all safety requirements have been met. To report and review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections or environmental testing. To constantly review employee safety programmes to determine their adequacy. To conduct or direct testing of air quality, noise, temperature, or radiation levels to verify compliance with health and safety regulations. To conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment. To accompany staff from the Department of Environmental Health and Safety, Civil Defense, Joint Health and Safety Committees and other internal/external agencies during workplace inspections. To follow up on any deficiencies noted during inspections and ensure that they are corrected. To develop and implement safety policies to ensure adequate safety measures for LPG and Alcohol storage and its usages at our manufacturing facilities. To circulate safety material/journals received from EH&S to appropriate members of the department. Ensure that monthly inspection of Fire Extinguishers, Exit Lights, Emergency Lighting & Flame Proof Lighting are carried out.
