About Gunvati J. Kapoor Medical Relief Charitable Foundation

The Gunvati Jagan Nath Kapoor Foundation supports programs in Health Care, Community Empowerment and Education with an intent to improve and sustain the standard of living and quality of life of all people with a focus on Women and Children. The Foundation guides on-treatment cancer patients in three hospitals within India, encouraging them to sustain treatment and reducing the abandonment rate. It also encourages women from underserved communities to make informed choices about their health by conducting 'Cancer prevention and Early Detection' and talks on Maternal Health through 'Maatrutva'.

About the Program & Role Description

The Foundation wants to initiate a program whereby children from low-income communities can be helped with their studies through tutoring.

Job Title: Education Empowerment Coordinator

Location: Amritsar

Type of contract: Consultant Part Time ( M-F 2.00pm-5.00pm)

Reporting to: Management

Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to educate the children through tutoring and various activities

Scope of Work

Will plan and create a module for tutoring the children from Std 1- Std 5 (group of 10-15 children)

Will be responsible for creating activities and fun learning initiatives to engage the children

Engage the parents and family to motivate them to engage in education

Will tutor the kids in Math's, English, Hindi and Punjabi

Help practice of the subjects before exams, by creative and practical methods

Maintain the data of pre and post exams for further monitoring and evaluation which will help in tapping the growth of the project and further intervention required

Will be responsible to maintain reports and other documents and submit the same to the management on regular basis.

Any other task as assigned

Essential Criteria:

Candidates must possess a B. Ed degree . All candidates must have minimum of 1 to 3 years of work experience in teaching. The candidate should be dedicated and have an affinity with children.

Essential Skills:

Fluency in Punjabi, Hindi, English

Creative

Good communication skills

Team work

Knowledge of MS Office
