Job Description

An education counselor's job is to guide students through their academic and personal lives, helping them succeed. Their responsibilities include:

• Academic support : Providing tutoring, group meetings, and one-on-one sessions
• Transitioning to college: Advising on course selection, financial aid, and the application process
• Personalized learning plans: Creating plans that address each student's needs and goals
• Monitoring progress: Keeping track of students' grades, transcripts, and other feedback
• Mental health: Helping students develop coping strategies for stress, anxiety, and other challenges
• Feedback: Providing feedback to parents and staff on teaching practices and lesson plans
• Staying up to date: Keeping informed about educational trends, admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities
• Assessments: Evaluating students' strengths, weaknesses, interests, and capabilities
• Goal setting: Helping students set attainable goals and develop useful skills
• Student records: Keeping student records secure and following up with students throughout the school year
• Communication: Communicating with school staff and psychologists, and collaborating with instructors on individual student plans

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?12,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
